	Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex [Dive Active] Glossary: PKF

	The Peacekeeping Force, or PKF, is an international military organization headed by the American Empire under the auspices of NATO. The PKF was created by the American Empire after the third world war as a means to maintain peace efforts worldwide. All countries are expected to contribute their own forces to the PKF or face international sanctions.

	Since the fourth world war, participating countries in the PKF have become suspicious of the American Empire's participation, or lack thereof, in the PKF. Critics claim that the American Empire is using the PKF and threat of international sanctions as a way of forcing other countries to spread out their military and resources.
