| Closed shell syndrome, while not necessarily lethal, is a very damaging disorder that affects those with cyberbrains. Individuals afflicted with the disorder display a manic obsession, or manic revulsion, of the network. Regardless of the extreme to which they treat the network, closed shell syndrome individuals are highly skilled network users, possessing an almost innate ability to dive to the deepest levels. | ||
| Currently, there is no cure or treatment for closed shell syndrome. Individuals with the syndrome are placed in government-run or privately owned centers where they are kept isolated from the network. | ||
